Well, on today’s blog, I am going to give you a quick delicious oven recipe on how to cook the perfectly Grilled Tandoori Chicken at home by just using your Oven.

The first step to achieve the perfectly Grilled Tandoori Chicken lies in its Marination which plays a very important role in making the chicken not only scrumptious but even deliciously tender and juicy.

Marination is the process of soaking the chicken in a seasoned ingredients before cooking.

Marination Ingredients:

Lemon Juice1 tbsp
Vinegar1 tbsp
Curd4-5 tbsp
Ginger Paste1 tsp
Garlic Paste1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder1 tsp
Ground Black Pepper (Powder)1 tbsp
(Everest) Tandoori Chicken Masala1/2 tbsp
Arrowroot Powder /  Cornstarch1 tbsp
Coriander Powder1 tsp
Red Chili Powder1 tsp
Turmeric Powder1 tsp
Red colorFew drops
Oil2 tbsp
Salt1 tbsp/As per taste
*tbsp- tablespoon , tsp- teaspoon*

Method to Marinade and Grill:

  • Wash the Chicken legs/thighs and make diagonal-incisions all over it.
  • Mix all the ingredients of the marinade with the chicken legs/pieces and refrigerate to marinade for 1-2 hour.
  • Preheat oven at 200º C and grease the baking tray or if you’re using grill stand (low rack).
  • Brush the marinated Chicken with oil and put the chicken on the grill stand (low rack) and set the auto cook menu – grill-bake-cook/heat for 30 minutes + 20 minutes approx. for both sides to cook.

  • Turn the chicken pieces upside down after every beeps. Keep checking.
  • If more crispiness required grill it for more 7 minutes. (Turn the Chicken upside down after 10 mins.)

It is important to keep checking the chicken pieces are getting properly cooked and sometimes it may take more than the usual time to grill the chicken pieces perfectly, so fear not let the microwave oven do its work and you relax. Also if you see the chicken pieces are bit under cooked, you can always give your oven some extra time to grill them properly before you serve them. Make sure that the chicken have been perfectly grilled and has soft and juicy texture inside out because that’s what a perfect marination will give you as a result in the end.
